 Wisdom

Wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her.

Scriptures for Preparation and Reflection

Proverbs 1:7

7  “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

Proverbs 2:6

6 “For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.”

James 1:5

5 “If anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

Preparation

·        Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God

·        Focus on what God is trying to say to you

·        Ask God to give you an obedient heart

Petition (Ask God to…)

·        Give you wisdom

·        Apply the wisdom that He gives to you in the days and weeks ahead

·        Stir the hearts of His people to ask Him for wisdom

·        Help me discern the true character of each of the candidates

·        Prepare me for our upcoming Associational Revival scheduled to begin Sunday evening, November 2, 2008, 7pm @North Main Baptist Church
