BRIEF HISTORYBorn in Salisbury, North Carolina in 1964. Brent attended North Carolina State University and graduated in 1988 with his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He moved to New Orleans where he earned his Master of Divinity at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1991. He received his Doctor of Ministry in December of 2010. He and his wife, Laura Ward Barker are blessed with two children, Wesley Ward Barker and Laura Katherine Barker. November 2010, Brent Accepted a Pastoral position for Emmanuel Baptist Church of Grenada, Mississippi.
