Dr. Dale Robertson
BRIEF HISTORYDr. Dale Robertson was born and reared in Scotland County, NC. He is a graduate of Scotland County High School, Wingate College and Wake Forest University. He earned both the Master of Divinity and the Doctor of Ministry degrees from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. He started preaching at his home church, Gibson Baptist at the age of 16 years. He was ordained in 1976 after being called to the Yellow Branch Baptist Church in Rustburg, VA. He has also served as Pastor of Rosedale Church in Abingdon, VA; Laurel Hill Church in Candor/Troy, NC, and Forest Park Church in Randleman/Asheboro, NC. Since 1993 Dr. Dale has served as Senior Pastor of North Main Baptist Church in Salisbury, NC. He has been Secretary/Treasurer of the North Carolina Baptist Pastor’s Conference since 1992. Also, he recently served a 3 year term on the Board of Directors of the NC Baptist Convention. Dr. Dale has held every office in the local Baptist Association except WMU and Baptist Men’s President. He and his lovely wife Claudia have three grown children. His oldest, Brett lives in Spencer. His second son, Jason, is a Salisbury City Policeman. His daughter, Crystal, is married to Rev. Matthew Laughter, the Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Rockwell, NC. Dr. Dale and Claudia enjoy their four grandchildren: Hannah, Jaden, Bryson, and Jasper. Dr. Dale has been to Alaska, Miami, Fl., Mexico, and Turkey on Mission Trips. He currently teaches in the Pastoral Ministries Department of New Life Theological Seminary in Charlotte.
